A Tour of Cuba
On Saturday, May 6, Social Sciences Professor Walter Turner kicked off the Oakland Main Library’s 11th annual Travel Series with his lecture, "A Tour of Cuba." Turner is the host of KPFA radio's "Africa Today" program and with more than 80 trips to Cuba under his belt, he brought ample experience and knowledge of the island to share with library patrons. Attendees heard interesting stories, useful travel tips, and answers to questions about this complex travel destination.
