The goal of College of Marin's professional learning program is to provide employees with resources, training, and opportunities that support their professional development needs; to create a positive and supportive working environment that recognizes and celebrates their achievement, and to improve institutional effectiveness with the ultimate goal of supporting student success. The Professional Learning Committee is the participatory governance group that oversees professional learning.

The Distance Education and Professional Learning committees are excited to share the following summer online learning opportunities sponsored by the CVC-OEI. Registration and enrollment fees will be paid by COM. Flex credit hours are also available.
Online Teaching and Learning Conference - Virtual Event - June 21-23, 2021
The Online Teaching Conference is a premier gathering of faculty, staff, and administrators who are leading the way in developing innovative and effective online education. This conference focuses on curriculum, pedagogy and technology to improve online instruction, learning, and student success and is an opportunity for educators to network with colleagues, connect, share knowledge, impart and receive best practices, and develop professionally.
The Online Teaching Conference is brought to you by CCC TechConnect. The OTC is a non-profit event funded under a California Community Colleges Chancellors Office grant.
Registration: The Distance Education program will purchase a group reservation for up to 30 participants. To be registered for the event, please complete the Online Teaching Conference Interest form.
Deadline: Submit your interest form is May 4th.
