Student ambassadors will be on-site during the event to assist new COM students with finding the resources they need. Student Ambassador Raquel Covarrubias Pina said she can’t wait to welcome the newest Mariners to campus.

"I love being a student ambassador! I wanted to be more involved in school and doing this job has allowed me to connect and help so many students,” Covarrubias Pina remarked. “I look forward to helping the new incoming students this semester!"

Fellow Student Ambassador Freddy Camacho agreed and added how this event helped him when he was a student, so he was eager to pass along the goodwill.

“College doesn't have to be this treacherous journey full of unknowns when there are people here at COM to help you, the student,” expressed Camacho. “As a COM student who has been on both sides of college success events, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the staff who help organize these events and the students who attend them. Everyone on campus comes together for the desired goal of helping students learn about college resources designed to help them succeed.”
