Measure B allows College of Marin (COM) to modernize all classrooms, upgrade technology, improve safety and ADA compliance, and improve facilities that will both serve academic uses and be a resource for the community. In addition to safer, modernized, and energy-efficient buildings at the Kentfield Campus, new classrooms will replace aging portable classrooms. The campus will also have a new or renovated learning resources center—complete with a new library—as well as a new or renovated student services center. At the Indian Valley Campus (IVC), a new horticulture building will support the organic farm and garden. Other improvements include a child development center, an outdoor amphitheater, and a multi-purpose center for students and the community. IVC’s new 50-meter pool and aquatic center will be the only one of its kind in the county.
It is crucial that we have extensive, ongoing community input throughout the design and construction of all major bond projects. Please join us at an upcoming forum to learn more about Measure B projects and provide your input. There are three forums scheduled at the Indian Valley Campus and four at the Kentfield Campus.
