Mi Familia Open House

Mi Familia is your familia — a room and a community designed for you. Come here for un cafecito before your evening classes, study with your friends, meet your instructors for extra help, and learn about important college resources. Celebrate our diverse Latin American cultures, languages, and histories, or sit in a comfy chair and relax. Meet and greet with coffee and pastries — an opportunity for students to meet the Mi Familia team and sign up to be a member.

MESA Open House

The Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program at College of Marin is a dynamic community that provides academic support and enrichment to students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math majors. Join the MESA Program to ring in the new semester over lunch. MESA students, those interested in joining the program, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend.

Puente Open House

Puente is a national award-winning program that has, for 30 years, improved the college-going rate of tens of thousands of California students. Its mission is to increase the number of educationally disadvantaged students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees, and return to the community as mentors and leaders to future generations. MAPS Open House — Mapping Academic Pathways for Success

MAPS is a program at COM that supports first-year students. We want your transition into college to be as smooth as possible, and we are here to support you through the process. Write On! The Reading and Writing Lab Experience

Need help with an essay or project? The Reading and Writing Lab offers on-campus and online tutoring for reading and writing in any subject. Students can get help from English instructors and professional tutors with understanding assignments and readings; writing assignments for all college subjects; brainstorming, essay and paragraph organization, idea development, research, and grammar; and transfer and scholarship essays, resumes, and cover letters.
