The Indian Valley Organic Farm and Garden (IVOFG) located on the College of Marin, Indian Valley Campus, was created to support and sustain local food systems and organic agriculture, to help educate and develop the local agricultural workforce and to provide fresh and healthy food for local residents. COM manages this USDA certified organic farm with the support of its operational partners: The Cultural Conservancy and UCCE Marin Master Gardeners.
Drop in Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm to meet the staff, take a self-guided tour, sign up to volunteer, or join the CSA Program. You can also buy produce from our farm stand 10 am — 1 pm on Saturdays, from July through October. Contact Farm Staff in advance for a guided visit or farming/gardening class designed with the needs of your organization in mind. Please send your email address to join the IVOFG mailing list.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Our CSA program is a way for people to purchase a box of locally grown, seasonal produce and products, directly from a farmer. A CSA Membership is essentially a “share” in the farm and comes with benefits for both the farmer and the box purchaser. CSA allows farmers to plan harvest amounts and provides members with a convenient organic food source. At IVOFG staff, students, and volunteers harvest the field and pack boxes with an array farm products including fruits, vegetables, tea blends, herbs, and flowers. Boxes are available May -November and may be picked up at both the Indian Valley Campus and Kentfield Campus. Click here to sign up for organic farm produce boxes.
Opportunities for COM Students
The farm offers opportunities for students to get paid through the Work Study Program, earn units through the Work Experience Program, or students can volunteer. If you are a COM student interested in learning more about these opportunities, please contact us!
