November 2nd, 2019 - 3:37pm

In fall 2019, the number of first-time freshmen enrolled at COM was the largest in the past five years, increasing from 502 in fall 2015 to 649 in fall 2019. This number includes a substantial increase in new graduates from public Marin County high schools, from 260 in 2015 to 349 in 2019.

Outreach activities and high school programs such as COMPASS and Summer Bridge have contributed to the bump in new Marin high school graduates. Among the other 300 first-time freshmen in fall 2019, 48 were new graduates from Marin charters, alternative programs, or private high schools; 58 were new graduates from high schools outside of Marin, and the remaining 194 had graduated before 2019.
