Facilities Planning, Maintenance, and Operations

The Facilities Planning, Maintenance, and Operations Department (M & O) provides maintenance and safe operations of the college's physical properties, custodial services and grounds maintenance.

In support of the Marin Community College District's mission, M & O provides services that support the physical and natural environment of the college, serving more than 7,000 students between campuses in Kentfield and Novato, M & O ensures that the buildings and grounds are maintained in an effort to enhance the teaching and learning environment. Services and support are provided through construction trades, buildings and grounds maintenance, energy management, event setups, deliveries, and a wide variety of related endeavors.

Sustainability at COM

College of Marin tackles climate change through bold and decisive leadership-from the foundation up. Our facilities have been upgraded and designed with sustainability in mind beginning with the Measure C modernization bond in 2004 through to Measure B with anticipated completion in 2024. COM has made bold strides in the areas of green building, clean energy, student engagement, education, operations, and now—zero waste.
