Show Up for Poetry and Activism

April is national poetry month, and this will be a yearly event we will host. We are bringing the poet laureate of San Francisco Ayodele Nzinga to campus in collaboration with The 1619 project.

Ayodele “WordSlanger” Nzinga, MFA, Ph.D. is a multi-hyphenated artist, working at the intersections of cultural production, community transformation and change. Dr. Nzinga is the inaugural Poet Laureate of Oakland, CA.
