ABOUT DAVEY D
Davey D, award-winning journalist, radio producer, professor, hip-historian, and activist, speaks to COM on the intersections of music, politics, and education.
Davey D graduated from UC Berkeley, founded the Bay Area Hip-Hop Coalition and KPFA’s award-winning Hard Knock Radio show, and co-authored with Jeff Chang the Young Adult version of Chang’s seminal history Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop. He teaches at San Francisco State University.
