Exhibition opens with reception October 1
COM’s 100-voice chorus opens game against Boston Red Sox KENTFIELD, CA—Under the direction of maestro Boyd Jarrell, Marin Oratorio, the College’s 100-voice chorus, will sing the national anthem at tomorrow’s home game between the San Francisco Giants vs. Boston Red Sox at AT&T Park.
College of Marin, in partnership with Stanford University School of Medicine, Geriatric Medicine; and The Buck Institute for Research on Aging present the second Mini-Medical School—Medical Science and Aging.
College of Marin became the home of Renaissance, one of two sculptures by world-renown artist Robert Ellison that are now part of COM’s permanent collection. Fine Arts Gallery Exhibit Featuring Ellison’s Maquettes Opens November 23.
College of Marin is inducting six champions into the Athletic Hall of Fame this weekend, honoring the individuals whose spirit and commitment helped shape the College’s outstanding athletic programs today.
College of Marin will hold a celebration to commemorate completion of the final building project funded by Measure C—the Academic Center. The Capstone Celebration will recognize the many individuals whose work has contributed to a physical transformation of the campuses. It will also serve as an opportunity for the College to extend its appreciation to Marin County voters for their overwhelming support of the Measure C Modernization Bond passed in 2004.
College of Marin will hold an open house at the newly constructed Academic Center on the Kentfield Campus. Visitors will be able to tour the 43,000 square foot building that houses 16 general-purpose classrooms, three computer labs, a 100-seat multi-purpose room, and faculty and staff offices. Designed by Mark Cavagnero Associates and TLCD Architecture, the building provides a welcoming entrance to the campus.
