Enrollment Eligibility
The College of Marin Umoja program accepts all active COM students and is designed specifically to increase the retention, success, graduation, and transfer rates for students of African ancestry. All active College of Marin students are encouraged to participate.
To enroll in the Umoja Program need to:
- Submit a student application via the Umoja Statewide website.
- Attend a mandatory Umoja Program orientation after receiving your Welcome email from COM Umoja (returning students must attend an orientation at the start of each academic year to remain in the program)

Complete a formal interview with an Umoja team member, after submitting a student application, a team member will contact you.
