Curbside Online Order Pickup and Contactless Rental Returns Available!

The Campus Bookstore has moved to its new location:

We look forward to opening to the public when campus reopens; but until then, please review the following options:

Summer and Fall Course Materials are available to order at CollegeofMarinshop.com and by logging in to the MyCOM Portal (go to Canvas > Follett Discover). Note: If students do not see course materials listed for their course(s) yet, we are still waiting for faculty to submit their required and recommended materials information to us. Less than 10% submitted.

Graduation Regalia and Accessories are now available at CollegeofMarinshop.com. They are not required for the Virtual Commencement but many graduates have been looking for souvenirs to mark their achievement. COM is providing tassels for all graduates this year! They will arrive at graduates home address by mail by early June.

Contactless Rental Return Free Return Shipping through FedEx

  • Log in to the rental account at: CollegeofMarinshop.com
  • Enter the email address provided when rented. Note: Even if rented in the store, an account was created using the email provided at checkout. If you don’t know your password, you can select Forgot Password link for a temporary password to be emailed to you.
  • Once signed in, select “Rentals” and you will be at the Rentals page.
  • Scroll down to see the books rented. Select “Return All Rentals by Mail” or “Return by Mail”. Both open a pop-up to select which rentals to ship back.
  • Follow the steps to generate and print the return label and packing slip. Box it up and drop it at your closest FedEx location.
  • This option is available until the rental due date: May 23, 2020

Contactless Rental Return Drop Off

  • Available Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Upon arrival at our new location, students and customers will:
    • Follow the social distancing protocol in place by allowing six (6) or more feet between people; markings to be placed outside.
    • Wear a face covering/mask in order to enter.
    • Enter the store one person at a time in the designated area just inside the front door; this space will be disinfected regularly between customers.
    • Complete the Rental Return Form by providing full name, phone number, and email address on the rental account.
    • Place the rentals being returned in a provided bag with the Rental Return Form.
    • Place the bag onto the shelf indicated.
  • Our team will process the rental check-in after two (2) days and contact the student if there are any issues with the rental(s). An email notification will be sent confirming the rental check-in.

Contactless Curbside Online Order Pickup

  • Available Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Two (2) parking spots in Parking Lot 1 will be designated Campus Store Curbside Pickup.
  • A valid photo ID/student ID is required for pickup.
  • Upon arrival, students and customers will:
    • Park in one of the designated Curbside Pickup spots near the new store location in Lot 1 (MO Building).
    • Call (415) 485-9394 and provide the last name, last five (5) digits of order number, and vehicle make, model, and color to our team member.
    • Open the trunk or rear car door, then get back in the car and close the door.
    • Our team member will bring the order to the car, verify photo/student ID through the closed car door window, and place the order in the trunk or backseat.
    • No signature is required.
    • We ask that all students and customers wait until our team member is at least six (6) feet away before exiting their car to close the rear door/trunk.
Frequently Asked Questions from Students
Will I get charged for the textbooks due to missing the due date?

While the due date for rented books has not changed, the “non-return charge date” has been extended 15 days past your current return due date to allow time for your mailed book to reach the store and required quarantine prior to team member processing.

Can I BUY or EXTEND my rentals on the website?

If you originally rented your textbook in the store, there is no option to buy or extend the rental on the website at this time. If you rented your textbook online, you have an option to buy or extend the rental on the website, on the Rentals page.

I placed an order but I have not received any confirmation my item has shipped. What’s going on?

Your item may be shipping from a location that has closed due to COVID-19 concerns. Your order will be filled when we are able to access that location again. Items that are in this situation are marked as “backordered” on the website. However, when you placed your order, the ship-from location may not yet have been closed or was in the process of closing so this backorder status may not have been displaying, check the item again now for confirmation. Sorry for the inconvenience during this uncertain time. If you wish to cancel an order in this status, contact us and we will work with you to get what you need.
