Americans with Disabilities Act Celebrates 30 years

Americans with Disabilities Act Celebrates 30 years!

On July 26, we honored the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). As we celebrate the legacy and commitment of those who have worked toward the removal of barriers and rights of people with disabilities, we acknowledge the work that remains as an opportunity to move toward equitable practices that provide access and opportunity for all. We hope you enjoy this compilation of resources that share the history of the ADA and promote a disability justice approach to our collective role in access.

To close out Disability Pride Month, Rock the Vote is hosting a great event! #ADAat30
Join celebrities, activists, elected officials, and performers—each representing and acknowledging the breadth of the disability community—for a streaming event to close out Disability Pride Month and commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the ADA. Livestreaming July 30 at rockthevote.org.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact Student Accessibility Services with any questions you may have related to access, accommodations, and student support. We look forward to seeing you all virtually this fall!
