Semester Schedule
The Intensive English Program offers convenient and flexible entry dates for all students. If you have any questions regarding student enrollment, please email Sara Oser at soser@marin.edu or Brier Welch at international@marin.edu. All Intensive English Program courses are academically focused. These courses help students prepare for study in the College of Marin Credit Program, a bachelor’s or master’s program, employment, and in preparation to take the TOEFL or other English language exams.

Classes run Monday through Thursday, 9 am until 2:20 pm.

Tuition and Dates
Residents, eligible non-immigrant visa/status holders, and others may enroll in any program/session length at any time. Prices and schedule subject to change. Additional fees apply.
Full Program: 4 Core Classes and 4 Self-Paced Reading sessions
Half Program: 2 Core Classes and 2-4 Self-Paced Reading sessions
Quarter Program: 1 Core Class and 2 Self-Paced Reading sessions
Students in all program lengths may participate in IEP cultural activities, presentations, field trips, celebrations, and end-of-semester graduation ceremony.

*We ask students to come to IEP the week before they begin their program to take placement tests. Please allow a maximum of 5 hours for placement testing. Placement testing can be done over multiple days.
Tuition for Residents, Au Pairs, Tourist, and other non-resident status holders
Non-immigrant visa holders must follow the rules and regulations of their visa/status, including regulations regarding study. Each visa/status category may have different regulations regarding what is required or permitted. For information regarding your specific visa category, please contact Brier Welch at international@marin.edu.
When you are ready to register, the Intensive English Program staff will provide you with the correct course codes.
