Equity, Health, and Nurses: Using Research to Fight for Justice

Why are Black, Indigenous and People of Color and low-income people more likely to die of COVID-19 than White people and middle-income people? Why has there been an ongoing gap in the health outcomes between these groups? What should we teach nursing students about issues related to health equity?

Join us for an interview of Dr. Sharon Goldfarb, College of Marin’s Dean of Health Sciences, who will share insights from an article she recently co-authored, “Social Mission in Nursing: Reaffirming Our Roots.” She will be interviewed by a panel of three nursing students and alumni: Andrea Lane, Anna Benitez, and David Namnath. More information and resources are available on Library Guides.
